RESTORATION OF PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE, JALALABAD REGION

RESTORATION OF PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE, JALALABAD REGION

The Konur-Oguz river flows through the of Kyzyl Ozgorush. A self-made bridge connects the banks of the river. For more than 10 years, the villagers have not been able to achieve the restoration of the bridge and are trying to independently find the means and assistance for its repair. The current bridge has made of four pipes laid across the river, covered with sand and wood. Local residents, including schoolchildren, pass through the bridge everyday. There is a big threat of falling into the river, especially in spring, when water is raising. Local government  lacks funding for the bridge. Its restoration would connect three sections of Ozgorush, Ak-Aryk and Burakan, whose residents (about 12,000 people) have to go around the river to get to Ozgorush.
