About the COVID 19 Initiative

The system of mass laboratory diagnostics COVID-19 will be deployed in Kyrgyzstan

The project is planned to be implemented with donations from philanthropists and entrepreneurs. The cost of the first phase of the project will be 578 thousand 173 US dollars per 50 thousand laboratory tests for 20 thousand patients. Fundraising is announced from all businessmen and entrepreneurs.

An initiative group of entrepreneurs and philanthropists together with the Republican headquarters for the prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic are launching a system of mass laboratory COVID-19 diagnostics.

In the context of the declared pandemic of coronavirus infection, timely mass laboratory diagnosis of COVID-19 plays an important role, which is ultimately carried out in the acute phase by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), this is the so-called “gold standard”.

According to the project, in the first phase, a laboratory diagnostic system will be deployed based on 10 thousand tests by the PCR method and 40 thousand tests by the method of Immunochemiluminescent analysis (IHLA).

In this regard, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, “Bonetsky Laboratory” company and donors signed a memorandum on the operational implementation of the diagnostic system COVID-19.

About the project

Over the next few days, a diagnostic system using PCR and IHLA will be launched at the production base of the Bonetsky Lab network. According to the project, the necessary equipment, supplies and reagents will be purchased. All this will make it possible to build a system for the mass diagnosis of viral infection based on 50 thousand laboratory tests for 20 thousand patients at the first stage of the project.

The project will be fully implemented with donations from entrepreneurs and philanthropists.

About the budget

Total cost of the diagnostic COVID-19 project:

• The first stage — 50 thousand tests for 20 thousand patients. At this stage, 578 thousand US dollars are needed.
• The second stage — 100 thousand tests for 40 thousand patients. At this stage, 1 million 381 thousand US dollars are needed.

About the test procedure

All stages of the diagnosis of coronavirus infection will be implemented jointly with the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, depending on the development of the epidemiological situation in the country.

The analysis of citizens for laboratory testing will be carried out in the direction of the Ministry of Health in the prescribed manner in the network "Bonetsky Laboratory" throughout the country. About donors and donations

One of the first who responded to this initiative was Babur Tolbaev, General Director of the micro-credit company M Bulak, which transfers 84 thousand 460 US dollars for the organization of a technological platform and 65 thousand US dollars for the purchase of tests for analysis.

Fundraising for the implementation of the project from all interested entrepreneurs and philanthropists is announced. The list of donors will be supplemented as funds are transferred to the project accounts.

Apake Public Foundation also acts as a Sponsor and Partner in providing a transparent on-line platform for fundraising and the provision of automated open revenue reporting.
